What the Dickens? magazine – goes to sponsume

on October 30, 2012

The splendid team at What the Dickens? magazine are seeking your help in getting the next edition into a printed format.  The bi-monthly magazine has been available free on-line for one year with six excellent issues. You can read the back copies here.

To find out more about the team behind the magazine there’s a You Tube film which even includes a photo of me!

So, if you feel in the mood to back this creative endeavour go to the Sponsume page, check out the level of sponsorship you’re able to make and help to turn this magazine into a page turning printed version.

Thank you for your help.

  1. This looks great, Gail – thanks for posting. I’ve just signed up to sponsor!

    Hello Gail,

All well, and not too busy?

If you are still doing your bookshop reviews can I recommend THE BLACK PUG second hand bookshop that has just opened in Westborough in Wimborne? It is owned by a woman who has wanted to do this all her life. It is in the front room of her house. She offers tea and coffee, the atmosphere is friendly and she has a collection of good quality books well displayed and for sale at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit. Later on she will also buy books. If you come on a visit give me a ring and drop by for a cup of tea, or whatever. In any case park in my driveway if you want.

Did you hear Chris WON the poetry prize in the Christchurch literary competition? Beryl, Penny and I got honourable mentions…

    ATB, Ruth

That’s a good tip about The Black Pug. Will try to make it over to Wimborne and I’ll let you know when I visit. The next post about independent bookshops is Winstone’s in Sherborne. Great news about Chris winning the Christchurch literary competition poetry prize and well done for the honourable mentions. WWG is clearly thriving.

  3. I found out about this a few days ago and I’ve sponsored them 🙂
